5 Things To NEVER Drink While Trying To Lose Weight

When it comes to dieting, the popular saying “you are what you eat” may not be comprehensive. It would be more accurate to say “you are what you eat and drink.” That’s because drinking the right things is just as important as eating healthy when you are trying to lose weight.

And drink...
And drink…

The main problem with high calorie beverages is the empty calories that they contribute to your diet. They usually contain little, if any nutritional value and don’t do anything to quell hunger pangs.

Basically, when dieting, a calorie is a calorie no matter if you have to chew it or not. Here are five things you should never drink if you are trying to lose weight.

The NEVER Drink Five

  1. Sugary Sodas

Without a doubt the number one beverage to stay away from while dieting, soft drink contain enough sugar to ruin any diet. Regular sodas such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi contain about 150 calories per 12 ounce can or the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar.

Even diet sodas can be detrimental to weight loss efforts because of the artificial flavors and sweeteners that many nutritionists think are just as bad for weight loss. Best advice, avoid soft drinks altogether when trying to lose weight.

  1. Alcoholic Beverages

冬のール

It’s called a beer belly for a reason. Alcohol has a lot of calories and they all come from carbohydrates. In fact, each serving of alcohol has between 100 and 150 calories, whether its beer, wine or hard liquor. Compound those empty calories with lowered inhibitions from intoxication and alcohol use can doom a diet.

  1. Fruit Juice

From a young age, we are taught that fruits and vegetables are healthy. Indeed they are when eaten, but when consumed as juices, they contain a lot of sugar and therefore a lot of calories. It is better to eat whole fruits instead of drinking juices when on a diet for greater nutrition with less sugar.

For a fruity punch without the sugar, try squeezing fresh lemon into Tyent alkaline water.

  1. Milk and Dairy

Think about it, milk is made by new mothers to feed their young and is the primary reason for the massive weight gain made by infants in their first months. Milk is packed with calories from fat, protein and carbohydrates and although it has valuable nutrients like vitamin D and calcium, milk is not ideal for losing weight.

If you must have a bowl of cereal or a glass of milk, make it of the low-fat or skim variety.

  1. Fancy Coffee Drinks

Delicious coffee with crean and cocoa

Black coffee has zero calories and caffeine is an appetite suppressant that might help people cut weight, but the danger is in the additives. Milk, sugar, chocolate syrup, and whipping cream are all common coffee drink additions and each of those is a definite no-no for dieters.

Stick with black coffee or non-fat additives to reduce the damage Starbucks can do to your waist line.

Okay, but What Should I Drink?

  1. I made the effort to join your team instead of the poorly excuse for second place kangan water ionizer. The people who do the initial interview were more than helpful, they were genuinely interested in our joint endeavor, to come to tyent as a representative. The question that still haunts me, are all people who come to tyent financially able to purchase a minimum of 3 units ?
How is it that kangan can give reps a unit to display at zero down, & boast that they’ve never turned down a rep because of lack of funds.

    1. Hi Larry,
Thanks for your comment and for making an effort to join our water ionizer team as opposed to purchasing a Kangen water ionizer. We have certain criteria in place in order to protect our dealers. If you have more questions about our Tyent water ionizer dealer program, then please reach out to our reps at 855-893-6887.
